NHLPA Twitter account thanks Capitals owner for following them

A year ago things looked pretty dire for the NHL.  Hell, even six months ago there were serious questions about whether or not there was going to be a season.  The NHLPA gained a follow from Washington Capitals owner Ted Leonsis and thanked him publicly.  The little subtle dig of “what a difference a year makes” is due to the fact that Leonsis was one of the owners that was driving the lockout and wanted the players to give up more money.  Seriously, what a difference a year makes indeed.
