Martin Brodeur drafts son Anthony Brodeur for New Jersey Devils

The 2013 NHL Draft was winding down when the New Jersey Devils traded back into the end of the 7th round.  Devils legendary goalie Martin Brodeur was sitting at the draft table and smiled when the trade was finalized.  The Devils then let him announce the draft pick, choosing his son Anthony Brodeur, a goalie out of Shattuck St. Mary’s.  Sure it may have only happened because Anthony was Martin’s son, but it’s not like Brodeur’s son wasn’t even ranked as a prospect.  This was definitely a special moment for the Brodeur’s and I know it will be something that Marty will cherish forever.
