Denver goalie Juho Olkinuora makes absurd mid-air stick save

Denver Pioneers goaltender Juho Olkinuora might have made the save of the year on Friday night against North Dakota.  If anything, it’s the best save from the College hockey season and the only save close to it right now was made exactly one week ago by St. Louis Blues goalie Jake Allen.  After making a save on the initial shot, Olkinuora had to dive across the crease to knock the puck out of the air.  North Dakota forward Corban Knight was pretty much in shock after the play, because he assumed he had an easy goal.

Olkinuora had 35 saves against North Dakota and Denver won the game 5-4 because of his play.  He hails from Finland and is a sophomore at Denver.  His statistics this year have been very good, posting a 9-3-5 record with a 2.11 goals against average and a .935 save percentage (prior to tonight).
