Henrik Lundqvist’s new helmet has tribute to the New York Yankees

New York Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist hasn’t been having a great year, but there is still a chance he could turn it around.  The Yankees have two outdoor games for the NHL’s Stadium Series and Lundqvist unveiled a pretty cool new mask.  It has a Yankees tribute, featuring Joe DiMaggio, Lou Gehrig and Babe Ruth on one side, with the front featuring Lady Liberty’s torch filled in with Pinstripes.  This should make New Yorkers happy, though I’m sure they would rather he just play better.

Looks like Lundqvist has some awesome matching Pinstripe pads to go with it.
