Dallas Stars’ Rich Peverley collapses on bench during game with Blue Jackets

A very scary and serious scene happened during tonight’s Dallas Stars-Columbus Blue Jackets game. The Stars’ Rich Peverley collapsed midway through the first period, requiring emergency medical attention.

Update: The game has officially been cancelled

Peverley had just returned to the lineup after being diagnosed with an irregular heart-beat:

Rich Peverley missed the entire preseason and the first game of the season with an irregular heartbeat, and that same issue kept him out of Tuesday’s game in Columbus. Peverley was feeling strange after Monday’s game and was unable to fly.

Hopefully Peverley is ok.
