Claude Giroux’s pulls off “Datsyukian” deke in shootout

Philadelphia Flyers forward Claude Giroux decided to channel his inner Pavel Datsyuk in the shootout against the New York Islanders on Thursday night.  While Datsyuk was dangling Logan Couture, Claude Giroux was busy making Evgeni Nabokov look silly.  Unfortunately for Giroux and the Flyers it would be the lone goal in the shootout for them as they lost to the Islanders 4-3.  The Flyers have easily been the most disappointing team this year and are currently tied for 2nd to last in the Eastern Conference with only 29 points.

Pavel Datsyuk is the originator of this move, but it has gotten popular in the NHL recently.
