Calgary Flames Arena Flooded up to 8th row

There has been massive flooding in Calgary, Alberta and the Calgary Flames arena, the Scotiabank Saddledome, has been devastated by the flooding.  The flooding reached as high as the 14th row, settled around the 10th row and has now reduced down to the 8th row.

According to CBS Sports:

Reports surfaced Friday that the water had reached as high as row 14 and that both locker rooms as well as the scoreboard operations room had been extensively damaged. The team said that even though the scoreboard was not lowered to the floor, the control room is not salvageable

The Flames held a press conference to discuss the incident and here is what the President and Vice President had to say:

Some photos of the damage have been released on the Calgary Flames website:

I highly recommend going through the entire album, it’s pretty incredible.  It will be interesting to see if the building is ready in time for the start of the NHL season because it is pretty clear there is a lot of work to be done.
