Alexander Ovechkin’s skates mimic Russian Flag

It’s not often that you see a player with custom designs on his equipment that are merely there for aesthetic value, usually that is left to the goalies or for their sticks. For the Sochi Olympics, Washington Capitals captain Alexander Ovechkin has gotten some awesome skates from Bauer, with a pattern on the boot that mimics the Russian flag. You’ll see some other players with flags painted on their sticks, but I highly doubt anyone else will have their skates set up like this.
