The NHL has had some really good luck with the players they’ve chosen to mic up. Los Angeles Kings defenseman Alec Martinez was mic’d up for his Stanley Cup Clinching goal and it’s pretty awesome to hear. The sheer emotion and excitement in his voice shows you how much these players care. When asked about the goal, Martinez didn’t remember much:
“It came off his pad pretty quick and I just tried to get a stick on it and get it on net,” Martinez said. “I blacked out. I don’t really remember. I think I threw my gear. I don’t know. I just remember everyone coming at me and I couldn’t breathe. It’s just a surreal moment. I’m just so happy for these guys.”
