Wes Welker tweets at college football recruit, commits minor NCAA violation

Denver Broncos wide receiver Wes Welker took some time out of his day to actively recruit for his alma mater, the Texas Tech Red Raiders.  Unfortunately for him and Red Raiders fans, this is a minor NCAA violation.  Nothing will come of it of course, but the BYU Cougars fans that are hoping to land the recruit, Nick Kurtz, happily pointed it out.

BYU fans didn’t take the “50 more reasons” that BYU would be a bad choice very well and Philip Morgan of the Provo Daily Herald with a joke list of 50 reasons to not attend BYU.

Looks like this could be a tight race between BYU and Texas Tech for Kurtz.
