Watch: Officials Blow Call, Cost Detroit Lions Win Over Seahawks

The Lions were getting ready to take the lead during Monday Night’s Detroit – Seattle game, however, Kam Chancellor came to the rescue (as did the refs). Watch as Calvin Johnson gets the ball knocked out at the one-yard line, but then T.J Wright breaks NFL rule by ‘batting’ the ball out of the endzone.

Here’s what the rule explains:

“A player may not bat or punch (a) a loose ball (in field of play) toward opponent’s goal line; (b) a loose ball (that has touched the ground) in any direction, if it is in the end zone…”
