Sports Illustrated sources informed ESPN that they are hiring within their own network? Apparently, multiple and varied sources are now needed to report a new hiring within your own company.
One of the greatest linebackers of all time, Ray Lewis, announced his retirement from the NFL this week. It is reported that he will begin commentating with ESPN once his playing days are finished.
SportsCenter’s Sara Walsh reported the news of Lewis’ hiring on air Thursday citing Sports Illustrated sources.
I can only hope SI would have reacted the same way to ESPN not giving them credit as Rick Reily did about Ed Werner reporting Ben Roethlisberger’s injury.
