RG3 lines up at wide receiver and gets rocked (Video)

This was by far the dumbest thing I saw all day, and could be the dumbest thing I’ve seen so far this year.  Robert Griffin III is the Washington Redskins best player, and he has already had one concussion this year; so why on earth would you line him up at receiver and allow defenders to take a free shot at him?

Pittsburgh Steelers safety Ryan Clark looked like he was salivating over the idea of a free shot at a quarterback and certainly took it.  He lines up RG3 as soon as that ball gets tipped and delivers a legal and crushing blow.

You can’t have a roughing the passer penalty when he lines up at wide receiver, perhaps the Redskins didn’t know that.  I hope that Redskins offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan is smarter in the future and looks to protect their franchise player in the future.
