Kid Cries Over Steve Smith Getting Cut, Smith Wants to Contact Kid

Gavin experienced his first heartbreak as a young NFL fan when his favorite player was cut by his favorite team. I can’t really blame him for reacting this way because if the Lions ever did this with Calvin Johnson, I would do the exact same thing. His sister seemed to take it in stride pretty well though. My only question is why would you video tape your kid crying and then exploit his sadness?

And showing why he is one of the most respected guys in the league, Steve Smith got on Twitter asking for help to contact the kid, presumably to send him lots of Ravens’ gear and try to make him feel better.
