Johnny Manziel Drafted By The Harlem Globetrotters

I think that Johnny Manziel just set a new record before playing a professional football game. Manziel was drafted by his third professional team this offseason, this time by the Harlem Globetrotters. Okay, so maybe the Globetrotters aren’t in a major professional league, but this is still ridiculous. Landon Donovan was also drafted by the Globetrotters, joining Johnny Globetrotter as a current pro athlete who now has another option.

“Johnny Manziel is a fantastic athlete that knows how to be entertaining. ‘Johnny Basketball’ has a nice ring to it, doesn’t it?’’ “Sweet Lou” Dunbar, Globetrotters’ director of player personnel, says in a press release.

“We like to think outside the box with our draft, so we look at all different kinds of athletes that could have the qualities of a Harlem Globetrotter,” says Dunbar.
