JaMarcus Russell has dropped 51 pounds

Former #1 overall draft pick JaMarcus Russell made it known that he wanted to make a comeback in January.  He started a workout routine and working with Jeff Garcia in February, but no one really seemed to take him seriously at first.  Russell is now down 51 pounds, and below his pre-2007 NFL Draft weight of 265.

Here’s a photo from before the comeback started.

Even if he doesn’t make it back to the NFL, you have to give JaMarcus Russell credit for putting in this solid work to get healthy.
