Adrian Peterson upset with Vikings for trading Percy Harvin

Adrian Peterson took the NFL by storm last season, returning from an ACL and MCL injury and winning NFL MVP by rushing for 2,097 yards. He led the Vikings to a playoff spot even though Minnesota doesn’t have much talent on offense outside of Peterson and wide receiver Percy Harvin. However, after Minnesota traded Harvin to the Seattle Seahawks for a 1st rounder (25th overall) and a 7th rounder on Monday, the Vikings are now without one of their best players.

Peterson took to Twitter to show his displeasure with the trade:

Losing one of the most lethal players in the NFL obviously hurts the Vikings offense, and you can easily understand Peterson’s frustration.  The Vikings currently have just four WR’s under contract on the roster. They have a combined 29 career receptions. Minnesota will obviously look to reload in the draft (Tavon Austin, Cordarrelle Patterson, DeAndre Hopkins), but it’s unlikely that any WR will be able to meet the production from Harvin. Bad move in my opinion, even if oft-injured Harvin wanted to be traded.
