Tayshaun Prince surprises fan who ditched Prince jersey post-trade

The Detroit Pistons fan who didn’t hear about Tayshaun Prince getting traded to the Memphis Grizzlies before a game and waited for him to come out of the locker room before ripping off his No.22 jersey, was reunited with his favorite player.

Cory Brandt, the fan, who is also a big Kentucky fan, got to meet Prince when the Grizzlies played the Timberwolves on Sunday.

Prince had some nice words for the fan and gave him a signed jersey.

“I know what you felt at the time, and I was going through it,” Prince told Brandt, presenting him with an autographed No. 21 Prince Griz jersey. “Things happen for a reason, that’s why you’re here today and why I’m here today. You touched a lot of people in my family and I just want to say thanks for what you did.”
