Nets Owner Mikhail Prokhorov will punish himself if the Nets do not win a Championship

The internet has been very good at painting Brooklyn Nets Owner Mikhail Prokhorov as a bit of a goofball or a cartoon character.  His most recent interview with the New York Post has done nothing to quell this suspiscion or stereotype.  Here is a direct quote from the interview.

“Q: Is marriage something you would consider some day?

A: I have said that if the Nets don’t win the NBA championship within five years, I will punish myself by getting married. We are in year three. So no one is more interested in winning a championship than yours truly.”

Pretty big of him to punish himself for not accomplishing what he said he would do when he first acquired the team.  I would recommend going and reading the whole interview over at the New York Post, he’s a very entertaining guy and certainly a one of a kind owner.
