Kirk Hinrich made a lot of Bulls fans scratch their heads in the final seconds of Tuesday’s game against the Dallas Mavericks.
Up three points with less than four seconds left, Hinrich took to fouling Monta Ellis while he was in the act of shooting a three-pointer. Ellis would hit all three free-throws, sending the game into overtime.
Even though Derrick Rose banked in a three-pointer to send the game into a second overtime, the Mavericks wound up winning, 132-129. The foul by Hinrich cost the Bulls a win.”It one of the dumber fouls I’ve ever seen,” Dirk Nowitzki said Hinrich’s foul on Ellis.
