Thursday night was one of those nights where Charles Barkley would have better off just keeping his mouth shut. Sir Charles noted that Butler, who dropped a career-high 35 points against the Knicks, is merely a role player and not an All-Star. Barkley also trashed the 25-year-old guard’s hair after his post-game interview:

Butler, who will be a free-agent after this year, is having a career year scoring 21 points a game, 6 rebounds and 1.5 steals. He easily should be a candidate to make the Eastern Conference All-Star team and receive a max-contract from the Bulls.
