Carmelo Anthony’s Visit To Bulls Included Private Derrick Rose Workout

Carmelo Anthony got the full service treatment during his visit to the Chicago yesterday. Anthony not only had billboards of himself outside the United Center, Joakim Noah sitting in on the meeting with the Bulls’ front-office, but he also got to find out what we’re all wondering: how healthy point guard Derek Rose is. According to Basketball Insiders’ Alex Kennedy, Rose held a private workout for Carmelo:

While Rose had went on the record saying that he wasn’t going recruit Anthony to Chicago, he was very involved in the team’s courtship of the superstar free agent, according to sources close to the situation. While at the facility, sources say that Rose went through a private workout to show Anthony that he’s healthy and ready to compete at a high level next season.

Chicago seems like the most likely destination for Anthony and will make the Bulls the top team in the Eastern Conference.
