Victor Martinez wanted no part in home-plate tag

The Detroit Tigers front office can’t at all be disappointed in Victor Martinez’s decision making during Wednesday’s game against the Kansas City Royals. Martinez, who missed the entire 2012 season because of torn ACL, decided against a home plate collision/tagging the base and ran straight to the dugout. Frozen rope by Jeff Francoeur from his right-field position, by the way.

Martinez has done this at home plate when he was a bit younger.
