Padres’ Will Venable makes game-saving diving catch

San Diego Padres center fielder Will Veneble saved the game Monday against the San Francisco Giants. In a tie game with two outs in the bottom of the 12th, Veneble had this diving catch off the bat of Juan Pierre. Had Veneble not made the grab, Brandon Belt, who was standing at second base, would have easily scored the game-winning run. After winning this game in 13 innings, 5-3, the Padres are now just 1 game out in the NL West.
