Felix Hernandez Throws MLB’s 23rd Perfect Game

Seattle Mariners pitcher Felix Hernandez made history Wednesday afternoon against the Tampa Bay Rays.

“King Felix” tossed the 23rd perfect game in the MLB’s 137 year history by recording 12 strikeouts on 113 pitches.

Felix’s perfect game is the 3rd perfect game of the season along with Chicago’s Philip Humber and San Fransisco Giants’ Matt Cain. It is also the fifth no-hitter of the year.

King Felix’s perfect game is the first in Seattle Mariners history. Seattle beat Tampa Bay, 1-0.
