The Kansas City Royals completed a 10-game winning streak on Wednesday by beating the Detroit Tigers and now have a 1.5 game lead in the AL Central. Detroit, meanwhile, is on the other end of the spectrum. Having started the season 27-13, Detroit is 9-19 since its first 40 games. Manager Brad Ausmus following Wednesday’s 2-1 loss was asked how he deals with the team losing, to which he responded with a very poor tasting joke:
Ausmus was asked how he deals with the losing when he goes home: “I beat my wife.” Obviously was joking and he later apologized.
