Miks Indrasis ties KHL game with incredible Mike Legg Lacrosse-Style goal

Since Mike Legg did this move against Minnesota in the West Regional of the 1996 NCAA tournament to help get Michigan back in the hockey game, there have been many imitations of the move.  So many in fact, that I think the hockey world has lost count.  That doesn’t make this play any less impressive though.

Former NHL goalie Curtis Sanford was playing extremely well and his team was up 1-0 on Miks Indrasis and Dinamo Riga with 5 minutes left in the game.  Unfortunately for Sanford, Indrasis reached deep into his bag of tricks and pulled out this move.  The look on the face of Dinamo Riga’s Head Coach after the move was highly entertaining too.  He was very pleased, and the crowd was extremely excited.
