Belfast Giants forward Craig Peacock suffers gruesome cut after taking a skate to the face

On Saturday, Belfast Giants forward Craig Peacock scored the first goal of the game against the Fife Flyers.  Unfortunately for him, he did not finish the game after he took a skate blade to the face.

Peacock took to Twitter to let fans know that he was doing okay and then warned fans that he was going to Tweet out an extremely graphic photo of the injury he suffered.  When asked about taking the skate the face, Peacock said, “When I got back into the locker room I looked in the mirror and it was a bit of a shock to see the cut.”  Because Peacock is a hockey player, he is expected to be back in the lineup for their next game on Friday.

The picture is below and it isn’t for the feint of heart.  Don’t say I didn’t warn you….
