AHL Player Crawls Under Cops to Try to Fight Player in Hallway

Here’s something you don’t see everyday, or really ever.

On Friday night, during an AHL game between Rockford, the Blackhawks’ affiliate, and Chicago Wolves, the Blues’ affiliate, a massive fight broke out. Chicago’s Ty Rattie didn’t like the way that Rockford’s Bobby Shea had him along the boards and as a result, they dropped their gloves as well as everyone else that was on the ice at the time.

After the fight, both players were ejected; however, the fighting didn’t stop there. Shea, apparently still rattled by what happened, attempted to crawl under the police officers who were standing in between him and Rattie while the two were walking back to their respective locker rooms. It took several cops to restrain him and he was assessed an eight game suspension by the league afterward.

The hit occurs at 14:19 of the video and directly after is when the chaos commences.
