Arizona High School team scores on crazy botched flea flicker

Sometimes it’s better to be lucky than good. That certainly was the case during last week’s Arizona’s Division II state playoff game between Chaparral and Perry.

Perry scored their lone touchdown of the night on a trick play that started off horribly wrong. It started when the running back was tackled as he was attempting to get the ball to the wide receiver who was intended to get the ball in an end-around. Luckily for Perry high school, the wide receiver was in the right place to run back and grab the bouncing ball. He then threw the ball up the field to the QB, who caught the pass after it tipped off a defenders fingers, and then ran it in for the 64-yard TD.

Despite the loss, this play will go down in the Perry high school football history, and will certainly be talked about at all their high school reunions.
