Tiger Woods swears on TV, announcers judge him

Tiger Woods was making a run at the lead of The Open Championship during the third round and he was caught on camera cursing.  It was only a “God damnit,” so not as severe as it could have been, but the announcers didn’t hold back from judging him.  Clearly they thought that he should know better not to swear because there are always microphones on him, but in Tiger’s defense, when you’re in the moment and frustrated you don’t concentrate on your surroundings.

Yet Hunter Mahan says f**k and they don’t say a thing about it. Double standard. The announces dog Tiger about everything especially Nick Faldo who showed his golfing skills are zero so he and the rest of them should STFU about Tiger.

Hey Dummy, besides TW, who do you think ha the most Major trophies hanging around their house since the 80’s? You guessed it…Nick Faldo. So, please shut up and maybe we’ll only think you’re an idiot.

Follow any other golfer for 18 holes and you will hear all the bad words. Follow Tiger for 18 holes and expect him not to get frustrated. Only problem here, reporters who need to get a life and report on important things that happen, not personal attacks. Reporters are the losers here.

It is really wonderful how all of the sports announcers are perfect people. It’s a shame that have to report on the poor mortals every action.

Maybe Tiger should just stay at home so the rest of the golfing world can get some TV time! He can take Lindsay with him and go to Sweden as far as I care.

Ah yes, maybe there are alot of the others that do swear but there are alot of great golfers that have the poise and self control by now in their careers to not swear publicaly and or at all. Shall we compare him to those that do not? Frankly I am suprised he completed that round without complaining about a knee or wrist, ankle, dehydration….You would think he plays NFL or Rugby with all of his “athletic” injuries.

So announcers didn’t curse this week. LOL !!
Probably more often than Tiger !
So what does this mean ? they can catch Tiger but no one else ?
.. where are rest of microphones besides on Tiger ?
maybe not as vehemently (but probably worse ) .. most all golfers swear more than once a round.

Let’s get real here. Tiger has been dropping the F bomb, and many more expletives, for years — at the top of his lungs, no less. The double standard rears its really ugly head with the announcers, the press and fans who magically became deaf, while Tiger was at the top of his game and before he was deservedly scandal-ridden.

Remember when televised golf tournaments in Tiger’s hay day had regular sound cut outs when focusing on Tiger and his less than stellar mouth? Anything to protect the great one.

He’s a great golfer — but he will NEVER be the greatest because of his total lack of class.

Apparently Tiger must at least still believe in God and yet once again still chooses to callously and casually use The Lord’s Name in vane??? FYI Tiger, that’s not the type of behavioral conduct to display if you ever hope to win even one more Major Tournament let alone multiple! Tiger, you see … in addition to golf you need to include morality and compassion in your skill set as well.

I agree with Gwendy. All of a sudden, broadcasters are reacting to Tiger’s vulgarity. Where was that reaction 10 years ago? I think that’s a perfect explanation for Phil’s popularity. He, along with a number of other excellent golfers, understand their situation and react appropriately. Its not that Tiger is not aware of the microscope on him, he just doesn’t care.
