Are Tides Turning With A Leader For No. 1 RB Recruit Savion Hiter?

Ranked as the top RB in the 2026 class, Savion Hiter, a Virginia product who is down to Georgia, Ohio State, Michigan and Tennessee, has long been believed to be favoring the Maize and Blue. However, in Steve Wiltfong’s latest update, he notes that many believe the Vols could win this one:

Michigan and Tennessee continue to duke it out at the top of the list for top-ranked running back Savion Hiter. Michigan has always been one of the favorites but as the blue-chipper nears his decision there are some that believe the Vols could pull it out. The Wolverines currently have the nation’s No. 10 class. Tennessee checks in at No. 15.
