Texas Tech unveils multiple new helmets

You can see on this table that there are some helmets that are on the table more than once, but it looks as though there is at least six different helmets that Texas Tech will wear next year.  If you’re wondering how this all came about, new head coach Kliff Kingsbury has the creative oversight for the uniforms.

Getting to design the uniforms/approve them is a pretty cool clause for him to have, and it wouldn’t surprise me if more coaches have this clause in their future contracts.  I think all of these helmets are very well designed except for the red one and the black one with the silver red raider.  It seems like once they got to those helmets they were reaching for ideas and these weren’t as well thought out as the other helmets on the table.
