Tennessee Volunteers Receiver Da’Rick Rogers Suspended Indefinitely

The Volunteers All-SEC receiver Da’Rick Rogers has been suspended indefinitely for violating the school’s substance abuse policy.  Rogers had 67 catches for 1,040 receiving yards and nine touchdowns.  According to ESPN College Football reporter Joe Schad, Da’Rick Rogers will not play this year and will look to transfer or go pro.

With Derek Dooley on the hot-seat, this does nothing but hurt their already hampered offense.  This is the second major player at Tennessee to get in trouble this offseason with quarterback Tyler Bray being arrested for throwing beer bottles at cars, and later getting a citation for an incident on a jet ski.

Needless to say, it’s been a tumultuous offseason for Tennessee, and it is unlikely to get any better once their treacherous SEC schedule starts.
