Rice kicker executes amazing reverse onside kick

Rice was down 31-13 with almost all of the fourth quarter remaining when they started to mount a comeback.  Rice scored on two unanswered touchdowns to bring the Houston lead to 31-26 with just over two minutes left.  Rice didn’t have any timeouts left, so it was obvious that the Owls needed to go for the onside kick.  What no one accounted for, was this amazing reverse kick onside kick by the Rice kicker.  The play couldn’t have been executed more flawlessly, with the ball traveling just past the 10-yard mark and the Owls recovered.  The Houston Cougars looked absolutely stunned, and rightfully so, this should be on SportsCenter’s Top 10.  Unfortunately the Owls were unable to get into the end zone and lost 31-26.
