Oregon O-Lineman saved man with Heimlich Maneuver

The Oregon Ducks are on their way to face the Wisconsin Badgers in the Rose Bowl. The game is set for New Years Day, but the competition started early on Wednesday when the two teams battled in an eating contest at Lawry’s the Prime Rib in Beverly Hills.

According to Adam Jude of the Eugene Register-Guard, Oregon offensive lineman Mark Asper saved a man who began choking on his food.

It should come as no surprise that Asper is an Eagle Scout. Although Asper later said that he was afraid of breaking the man’s ribs, this is quite the way to start off Oregon’s bowl game festivities.
