It looks like Pete Carroll and Jim Schwartz aren’t the only coaches the Jim Harbaugh has rubbed the wrong way. Former UCLA coach Rick Neuheisel was on the Dan Patrick Show on Tuesday and said a similar incident occurred.
“I had (an awkward moment) with Jim Harbaugh, he ‘Jim Schwartzed’ me,” said Neuheisel. “He came across, slapped my hand and said ‘what did you think about that, Ricky?’ and took off running. You have that moment where you think, ‘did that just happen?'”
Neuheisel provided some backstory on the incident saying that UCLA had beaten Stanford late the year before and Harbaugh didn’t have anything to say post-game. But when Stanford got the chance to beat UCLA late in the game, he took his shot.
Neuheisel even commented on the Harbaugh-Schwartz incident and said:
“I see it and said ‘he did it again!’,” Neuheisel said. “Who else but Jim Harbaugh could make the postgame handshake must see TV?”
I can’t wait to see what Harbaugh does post-game with Urban Meyer this year.
