Report: Wisconsin’ Dave Aranda Mentioned As New Michigan DC Candidate

Its been nearly two weeks since it was announced that former Michigan DC D.J. Durkin was taking the head coaching position at Maryland. While several different names have been rumored to be candidates, The Michigan Insider’s Sam Webb has a new name that is being connected to the job:

The candidate mentioned in Webb’s Scout.com post is Wisconsin DC Dave Aranda.  Aranda, who has been the Badgers’ defensive coordinator since 2013, helped Wisconsin to the No. 3 ranked defense in the country this year (one spot ahead of Michigan’s). Webb also notes that Aranda has a small connection with Jim Harbaugh when he was with the 49ers.
