Penn State Commit A Recruiting Violation With Lavert Hill?

During Saturday’s Penn State – Wisconsin hockey game, Lavert Hill, a former Nittany Lions commit, received a standing ovation during intermission.

Here’s the recruiting violation via the NCAA:

An institution may not introduce a visiting prospect at a function (e.g., the institution’s sports award banquet or an intercollegiate athletics contest) that is attended by media representatives or open to the general public.
