Michigan’s Drake Johnson Told Tyrone Wheatley He’s Going To Be Better Than Him

Running back Drake Johnson is near 100% healthy after recovering from an ACL injury he suffered during last year’s Ohio State game.  Johnson, who at the end of last season looked like the Wolverines’ best RB (320-yards and 4 touchdowns in five games), clearly has high expectations for himself for the upcoming year.

Scout.com’s Josh Henschke shared the following quote from Michigan’s Media Day of what Johnson said to new RB coach Ty Wheatley:

Johnson will battle Derrick Green, De’Veon Smith, Ty Isaac and freshman Karan Higdon for next year’s running back position.
