Prev2 of 9Next

Scott Shafer

Shafer, 48, previously worked for Harbaugh at Stanford as the defensive coordinator.  Shafer then accepted the DC position at Michigan while Rich Rodriguez was coach.  Things didn’t go so smoothly the first time in Ann Arbor for Shafer, who resigned after just one season. Shafer then ended up at Syracuse where he eventually took over head coach when Doug Marrone left.  Shafer compiled a 14-23 record with the Orange before recently being let go.

Likelihood: High to medium
