It looks as though this Cal fan was extremely tired of former Michigan running back Tom Harmon running all over his favorite team. The fan at the 1940 game in Berkley was drunk and apparently used to tell people that it was the only tackle that Cal made all game on Harmon, though it wasn’t much of a tackle.
How good was Harmon’s day? Harmon had a 94-yard kick return touchdown, a 72-yard punt return touchdown, and 86-yard touchdown run…all in the first half. He ended up finishing with 131 rushing yards and five total touchdowns, one of which was a passing touchdown. Just an absolutely astounding stat line in a 41-0 win.
