Michigan Pledge Takes Home ‘Alpha Dog’ Award At Texas Event

Michigan pledge Gemon Green, who is ranked as a four-star to all recruiting sites except 247sports, was named the top performer at this weekend’s Northwest 7 on 7 State Qualifying Tournament. Here’s what 247sports’ Mike Roach said about the Michigan DB pledge:

Green has been on a tear this spring with strong performances in camp settings. The Michigan commit extended that streak to the 7 on 7 field where showed why he’s one of the most coveted players in the country. The four-star prospect played lock down defense on the edge and made highlight reel plays when he was thrown at. The best play of the day saw Green make an incredible one-handed interception off of a pass from Oklahoma commit Tanner Mordecai. Green was a vocal leader for Desoto’s team as they went unbeaten en-route to qualifying for state. He’s solidly committed to Michigan along with his brother German.
