Michigan’s defensive coordinator’s funny sideline signal calls

If it weren’t for Michigan’s Defensive Coordinator Greg Mattison and the defense itself, Michigan would have lost far worse than 26-21 to Ohio State.  The offense went into a super-conservative shell in the second half and became their own worst enemy; failing to cross the 50-yard line.  Mattison and the defense amped up their play and bailed out Michigan with turnovers and goalline stands that held Ohio State to 6 points.  Unfortunately for Michigan it still wasn’t enough to pull out the win.
