Michigan banner invades South Bend

One of the Michigan Daily staff writers, Stephen Nesbitt, received an email from an anonymous email address with a picture of a Michigan “Beat the Irish” banner hanging in the Knute Rockne gate at Notre Dame’s football stadium.  Since then, the photo has gone viral, and rightfully so.  This is the type of harmless trolling that makes rivalries so great; particularly when the pranks are done by students, which is the case here.

It will be interesting to see if the Notre Dame students will retaliate this year, or wait until next year, when Michigan hosts Notre Dame yet again.
