According to Justice, McElwain has been offered a job on the Wolverine staff calling offensive plays.

McElwain was the OC and QB coach at Alabama before becoming a head coach at Colorado State. He was also an offensive assistant with the Oakland Raiders, Michigan State, Louisville, Fresno State and played quarterback at Eastern Washington.

Jim Harbaugh and Michigan have beaten McElwain twice recently – in the 2016 Citrus Bowl and last year in the season opener.

The NCAA now allows programs to hire a 10th assistant.  Dan Enos was believed to be filling this role but he left for Alabama after 17 days in Ann Arbor.
