Father Of Five-Star Cece Jefferson Refuses To Sign Son’s LOI

Leo Jefferson, the father of five-star DE Cece Jefferson, has not signed his son’s LOI to go to Florida. The reason? According to Rivals.com, Florida’s DC Terrell Williams is reportedly set to take the same position with the Miami Dolphins and the family wants to make sure he isn’t leaving before sending in the LOI. A life-long Florida fan, Jefferson, a top 10 recruit, attended every home game last season for the Gators. He picked Florida over another SEC school, Auburn.

Like the Ohio State and Mike Weber situation, this is another instance of a school trying to keep coaching-change news away from top recruits before signing and faxing in their LOI.

Several SEC schools, including Auburn, LSU and Ole Miss are trying to get Jefferson to reconsider his decision. However based on this tweet, it seems Jefferson will be headed to Gainesville.
