In a ‘way too early’ college football bowl predictions post, ESPN’s Mitch Sherman has Michigan playing in the Foster Farms Bowl this year.
Interestingly enough the Foster Farms Bowl, which takes place in San Fransisco at Levi’s Stadium, is Jim Harbaugh former stomping grounds with the 49ers.
Maryland lost to Stanford 45-21 in last season’s Foster Farms Bowl.

If Michigan were to play in the Foster Farms Bowl, it would likely mean they finished in the middle of the Big Ten (6th or 7th) based on conference tie-ins.
Other Big Ten team bowl projections – Ohio State (CFB Playoff) and Michigan State (Rose).
