It looks like the Arkansas Razorbacks are prepared to try anything to get students into games this year. According to the press release, the Razorbacks will have a club located on the deck above the student section.
The club will include two 20 ft. x 80 ft. tents that will house a live DJ, couches, TVs, high-top tables, with grab-and-go concession items available for purchase. While in the club, students will have chances to register to win great prizes and take part in other contests.
The Razorback Rooftop will be open to students who are current Access Pass holders who present their student ID and have a designated wristband. Up to 2,000 wristbands will be made available for each home game.
Students can secure a seat in the Trough student section and a chance for the spot in the Razorback Rooftop for every big game by purchasing the Razorback Access Pass. The Access Pass grants admission to home football and men’s basketball games, plus you receive the Official 2014-15 Trough T-shirt. The Access Pass costs $85.
The wristbands will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis.
It’s certainly a new way of trying things. I’m not sure if it will work, but it can’t make things any worse. College teams seem pretty desperate to get fans into their stadium.
