Tom Izzo calls for turnover to honor Michigan State’s seniors

With a little over a minute left during Michigan State’s senior night on Thursday against Iowa, Tom Izzo wanted to give his seniors (Keith Appling, Adrein Payne and Dan Chapman) one final ovation, so he instructed his team to throw the ball out of bounds.

Point guard, Keith Appling, had no interest in getting the turnover as one of his stats, so he passed to Denzel Valentine to get the job done.  Michigan State and its seniors did get the big job done, beating Iowa 86-76.
